Tappan Zee Bridge demolition in New York: Where to watch this Saturday

For many, it will be a moment of nostalgia; for others, the chance for a little mid-winter excitement, or a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Whatever the reason, hundreds are expected to come out Saturday morning to witness the last moments of the Tappan Zee Bridge in New York before it is exploded into oblivion.

For Isar VanHunnaik and his two friends, who arrived in Tarrytown from Holland on Sunday, their first weekend in the U.S. will begin with a bang.

The new arrivals at the EF Academy in Tarrytown, an international boarding school, said they were excited to witness the controlled explosion of the bridge.
