Ryanair launches masses of new flight routes from UK this summer with seats from £14.99 – here's the full list

RYANAIR has launched their "largest ever summer schedule" this year, with 14 new routes launching from the UK.

And to celebrate, there are 300,000 seats on sale from just £14.99.

You'll have to be quick as the sale ends at midnight, although you can travel up until April 7.

The low-cost airline's new routes have launched from London Gatwick, London Luton and London Stansted.

Destinations include Menorca in Spain, as well as a number in Italy, Portugal, Morocco and Bulgaria.

The new routes are:

  • Naples, Italy
  • Catania, Italy
  • Orebro, Sweden
  • Helsinki, Finland
  • Stockholm, Sweden
  • Lublin, Poland
  • Tampere, Finland
  • Maastricht, Netherlands
  • Tangier, Morroco
  • Madeira, Portugal
  • Trapani, Italy
  • Menorca, Spain
  • Växjö, Sweden

Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary said: “We are pleased to announce 14 new routes from our three London airports, Stansted, Luton and Gatwick, as all Covid-19 travel restrictions have now been lifted, UK citizens and visitors can book a well-deserved Summer getaway to exciting destinations such as Helsinki, Madeira and Naples."

He also continued to call for Air Passenger Duty (ADP) to be scrapped to help the aviation industry recover post-pandemic.

ADP on domestic flights will be cut by 50 per cent next year, but long haul flights will pay £7 more ADP for seats in economy.

Airlines have warned that flights are likely to go up in price this year, including Mr O'Leary who said that demand will outpace capacity.

He previously said: "There is going to be about 20 per cent less short-haul capacity in Europe in 2022 with a dramatic recovery in demand.

"And the reason why I think prices will be dramatically higher is that there’s less capacity."

Jet2 boss Steve Heapy warned that it was due to climate change and an expected barrage of environmental taxes, legislation and new related costs over the next decade.

He said: "I think a lot of things in life are going to become more expensive and we've got to accept that that will be the case."

Low-emission bio-based fuels are also in short supply and can cost at least three times more than kerosene. That, combined with the threat of new flying taxes, could spell trouble for airlines.
