Jaw-dropping Caribbean private island with infinity pool and open bar is yours for £245pp a night – The Sun

FANCY a Caribbean break without the crowds this summer?

This dreamy private island could just be the spot you're looking for – and there's enough room for 20 people so you can bring family and friends.

The four acre island, known as Clarks Cay, is located around 36 miles off the coast of Honduras.

While not the biggest island out there, it offers plenty to keep you busy, including a pool bar and open air restaurant.

Surrounded by pristine waters, the island is perfect for those who love water-based activities.

The flats around the island are just a couple of feet deep, which means that you can fish without needing a boat.

But with calm waters, the conditions are also ideal if you want to kayak or explore the area on a stand up paddle board.

There's also plenty of space where you can relax, and even a massage area with ocean view.

But the highlight has to be the infinity pool, which even features a lazy river with a waterfall.

Nearby, Guanaja’s coral reef system is a great spot for divers, as there are lava tunnels and wrecks to explore.

You can stay in one of the nine cabanas, each offering privacy for its guests.

Right now, the island is available for $43,000 (£34,337) a week on www.privateislandsonline.com, which means between 20 of you, it works out to £245 per person per night.

But incredibly, that fee includes a team of staff, three daily meals and even an open bar.

It also includes up to three daily dives or snorkel trips, with all the gear included.

However, just be aware that you will have to pay tips, and taxes on top.

Sun Online Travel previously revealed that the most expensive resort in the world is based in the Philippines.

And there are private islands you can only reach via cruise.

But if you are looking for somewhere more budget-friendly, we've also rounded up private islands you can rent that start from just £9 per person.
