A TRAVEL expert has revealed a top tip to avoid airport security lines, before even arriving at the airport.
The timely advice comes as countless Brits no doubt were hit with similar chaos before jetting off on summer getaways.
But Katy Maclure, editor of The Detour from Jack's Flight Club, said avoiding queues all comes down to planning ahead.
“You can't control how long the queues will be, but you can check in advance to see how many other flights are due to depart around the same time, and allow extra time if it's looking busy," she told Condé Nast Traveller.
"This is a particularly good idea during peak summer travel."
Katy went on to detail several airport apps that allow people to monitor wait times and plan their timings accordingly.
