First photos revealed of the £250million megayacht by luxury hotel group Ritz-Carlton, which will launch in August boasting 149 suites and food by a three-Michelin-star chef

The first photographs have been revealed of the hotly-anticipated £250million (€290million/$300million) megayacht by luxury hotel group Ritz-Carlton.

Interior images of the 623ft (189m) vessel, christened Evrima, reveal the exquisite standards guests can expect, with slick contemporary furnishings offering a five-star-hotel feel. 

Two images showcase the ship’s ‘grand suite’, complete with a modern living room and dining area, a spacious terrace and a large bedroom with a king bed.

Many of the suites on Evrima feature roomy bathrooms complete with double sinks and deep tubs  

Meanwhile, the vessel’s ‘signature suite’ and two-story ‘loft suite’ have also been pictured for the first time, with the same attention to detail running throughout.

Evrima, a name of Greek origin that means ‘discovery’, will set sail on her inaugural voyage throughout the Mediterranean on August 6 with the Caribbean her next point of call in November. Trips start from £3,441 (€4,013/$4,200).

In total, the ten-deck megayacht, currently docked at Santander in Spain, can accommodate up to 298 passengers across 149 suites. 

One of the largest cabin options is the ‘owner’s suite’, which spans 1,091 sq ft (101 sq m) and includes a wrap-around terrace with a whirlpool.  

But no matter what cabin option guests plump for, all of the suites feature private terraces, high ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows so they can lap-up ocean views as they go. 

In terms of dining, there are six different venues for passengers to dip into, serving everything from sushi to artfully presented Mediterranean bites.

One of the ship’s most-anticipated restaurants is S.E.A., which was conceived by chef Sven Elverfeld, who heads up Aqua, a three-Michelin-star eatery at the Ritz-Carlton Wolfsburg in Germany. 

Guests are told to expect a ‘European tasting menu in a sophisticated setting with a contemporary feel’.

So passengers can keep shipshape while at sea, the vessel has a state-of-the-art fitness studio with personal training sessions and gym classes on offer.

There is also a spa area with five treatment rooms, a beauty parlour, a sauna, a steam room and quiet zones so that passengers can ‘truly disconnect’. 

Other onboard facilities include a children’s club, an outdoor infinity pool, a sprawling terrace area and an expanded bow where cocktail receptions will take place. 

The expanded bow can be seen in a rendering of the ship, along with the top-deck sun terrace.   

Once the ship has docked at destinations, there will be an onboard concierge on hand to create personalised itineraries for guests. 

U.S firm Ritz-Carlton says of its onshore activities: ‘By working with local guides who were selected for their insider knowledge, guests will enjoy a highly personalised and immersive journey while exploring the culture of each destination.’ 

Most Evrima voyages will range from seven to ten nights, with ‘no two journeys alike so that guests can combine itineraries without repeating a destination’. 

Depending on the season, Evrima will visit the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, Central America and South America and destinations along the way will range from Spain’s Balearic Islands to the French Riviera to the shores of Aruba and the tropical coastlines of Costa Rica.

Ritz-Carlton says the intimate size of Evrima will allow her to access some of the most sought-after ports of call, delivering ‘yacht-style cruising’ in destinations such as Mykonos, Saint-Tropez and St. Barts. 

Evrima is the first ship to launch in the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection with two more vessels set to follow.  

Superyachts Ilma and Luminara are slated to set sail in 2024 and 2025 respectively and each will feature 228 suites with private terraces. 

Amenities on both ships will include five restaurants, six bars, a wine vault, and a Ritz-Carlton spa.
