Emirates is hiring cabin crew and there are some great perks to the job

Emirates is recruiting new members for its cabin crew, and the application process has revealed some of the incredible perks its flight attendants receive!

Think discounted travel rates, the chance to see the world as part of your job, 30 days of annual leave to go exploring, and layover expenses for meals and hotels abroad.

But one perk has particularly caught our attention; fully furnished accommodation in Dubai, free of charge.

Yep, the airline offers a series of apartments across Dubai where cabin crew can live rent free, sharing two- and three-bedroom properties with other members of cabin crew.

(Although you do need to pay bills such as utilities, television licences and Internet contracts).

Still, it sounds like a pretty sweet deal – especially as Dubai serves as the airline's main base.

Thinking this could be the job that's right for you?

The application has offered some insight into the criteria you'll need to meet when you apply, such as needing a minimum height of 160cm, arm reach of 212 cm while standing on tiptoes, no visible tattoos, and needing to be physically fit with a healthy BMI.

You'll also need to go through quite a rigorous interview process which includes a group assessment, a 'height and reach assessment' ie that you can meet safety regulations, a language test and behavioural assessment, and a final interview.

Oh, and that's just so you can start the training process.

If you are tempted, the airline will be hosting a series of open days for those wanting to join their cabin crew across the UK throughout May and June.

Recruitment days are currently planned in Manchester, Bournemouth, Reading, Bristol, Birmingham, central London, London Gatwick, Newcastle, Glasgow, Cambridge, Leeds, Nottingham and Belfast.

You can find the full application details as well as the recruitment day dates on the Emirates recruitment website.
