Disneyland Paris is set to double its visitor capacity, triple the number of hotel rooms and possibly building a third theme park by 2030, it has been reported.
It was announced earlier this year that the French resort was to receive a two billion euro (£1.75billion) investment.
It will see an extension to the theme park featuring Marvel, Frozen and Star Wars attractions.

And now the Telegraph has revealed that a consultation report for the development site has shown that its objective by 2030 is to ‘double theme park visitor capacity by opening new attractions in the two existing parks and possibly build a third theme park’.
It has also reported that the development will see a further 14,700 hotel rooms created on a site close to the A4 motorway, which links the resort to central Paris, up from the current 5,800.

Meanwhile the report also said that the expansion would create 1,000 direct jobs in shows, catering, support functions and administration.
The Walt Disney Company took full control of the French tourist hotspot business last year and it is the most visited theme park in Europe.
In February of this year, Disney chief executive Bob Iger announced the huge investment in the attraction after a meeting with the French president, Emmanuel Macron, in Paris.
The new development will see three new areas at the Walt Disney Studios Park, which will be rolled out in phases, starting in 2021.

These include a new Marvel-themed roller coaster and live stage production along with attractions based on Frozen and Star Wars.
The Walt Disney company said in a statement: ‘The expansion plan is one of the most ambitious development projects at Disneyland Paris since its opening in 1992 and underscores the company’s commitment to the long-term success of the resort as Disney’s brand beacon in Europe.’
Disneyland Paris sits on a 2,230-hectare site about 20 miles east of the French capital, though only half of the site has been developed so far, according to the company’s 2016 annual report.

With more than 320 million visitors passing through its turnstiles since 1992, the park accounts for 6.2 per cent of France’s tourism income and has been a boon for local employment, employing some 16,000 staff.
Even so, Euro Disney faced deep financial trouble after making overly optimistic projections on visitor numbers and taking on too much debt.
Walt Disney took control of the ailing company in June 2017 and de-listed its shares.
Disneyland Paris currently comprises two theme parks – the fairytale-themed Disneyland Park and the Walt Disney Studios Park. It has seven hotels, two convention centres and a golf course.
