Disneyland Halloween 2019: The party moves to California Adventure

Disneyland’s villains are packing their tricks and treats and heading to California Adventure this Halloween: The Oogie Boogie Bash is in and Mickey’s Halloween Party is out.

And if the arrival of a galaxy far, far away played any part in the move, well, park officials aren’t saying.

Tickets for the Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disneyland Halloween Party go on sale April 23 for annual passholders and April 30 for the general public. Price is $100-$145 depending on the night (a $5-$15 increase over last year).

With Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opening May 31, this will be the first time since 2010 that Disneyland won’t host a Halloween party requiring a separate ticket.

Instead, the party moves to California Adventure and will star Oogie Boogie, the pillowy villain from “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.” The event will be offered 20 nights between Sept. 17 and Oct. 31, with the more expensive nights occurring later in the season.
