Country Singer Justin Moore Shares Gruesome Photo of His Leg After a Horse Stepped on Him

Country star Justin Moore went to great lengths to get the perfect shot during a photo shoot for his upcoming album.

On Thursday, Moore, 34, revealed he had been stepped on by a horse while on set.

“Anything for art!” Moore captioned an Instagram post, which shows his badly injured leg. “First time in my career I’ve been stepped on by a horse during an album photo shoot. Lol. Hopefully, we got the shot though!”

“New album, Late Nights and Longnecks coming soon!” Moore added.

In the photo, Moore’s leg is severely bruised and swollen. The horse’s hoof also broke the skin in a number of spots.

The photo prompted a number of fans to send their good wishes.

“Way to cowboy up! Feel better soon!” one fan wrote.

“Heal quickly and prayers coming your way,” another user commented.

“Sorry this happened to you bud. Hope you heal real quick. Good things you’ve got a great family that can wait on you so let them.”

In addition to gearing up for his latest album release, Moore is currently on tour.

The singer will be performing on Feb. 8 in Canton, Oh at the Canton Civic Center. The tour will include appearances from Cody Johnson, Eric Paslay and Riley Green.

Moore announced the 2019 dates of his tour back in November after the release of his single “The Ones Who Didn’t Make It Back Home.”

When Moore isn’t on the road or in the studio, he spends his time with his young family.

In 2017, Moore and his wife Kate welcomed their fourth child — a son named Thomas South Moore.

“Kate and I already felt like the most blessed people in the world with our three beautiful daughters, but we feel even more blessed to have a healthy baby boy now to add to our family,” Moore, 33, tells PEOPLE of daughters Rebecca Klein, 4, Kennedy Faye, 7, and Ella Kole, 8.

“His sisters are already obsessed with him, as we are all of them,” he continues. “Thanks for all the well wishes and congratulations. Very much appreciated.”
