Cheap short UK breaks in June from £35, including Devon, Kent & Suffolk

THE UK government has announced that holidays in England will go ahead this spring and summer – and there are still cheap deals available.

Brit holidaymakers will be able to go on holiday in England from April 12, following a review of the current travel rules, which banned all holidays.

From April 12 people from the same household will be able to book self-contained holiday lets such as holiday homes.

From May 17, hotels are allowed to reopen and holiday homes can be let to groups of up to six people from different households or groups from two households with no cap on size.

From June 21, holiday homes can be let to groups of all sizes.

For those who haven't yet booked a staycation, there are great cheap deals for summer.

Some of the best deals are:

  • Haven June three-night breaks from £89 per stay
  • Hoseasons three-night breaks from £159 per stay
  • Park Holidays three-night breaks in Essex, Devon, Kent, Suffolk and Sussex from £176 per stay
  • Pontins staycation sale from £35 per family
  • Away resorts short June breaks from £199 per stay
  • Holiday homes, lodges and cottages three-night June breaks with Snaptrip from £295 per stay
  • Park Dean Sussex four-night stays with Breakfree Holidays from £199
  • Warner Leisure Hotels three-night breaks from £184 per person
  • Hotel rooms with Booking.com from £49 per room

There's a range of accommodation at a number of popular holiday destinations in the UK, including Suffolk and Sussex.

Back in January, a number of Brits booked holidays in England despite the restrictions.

This led to holiday companies predicting a sell-out summer of staycations as bookings surged.

Now, accommodation businesses are able to open their doors again in England from June, on the condition that coronavirus cases continue to fall and vaccines still roll out at pace.

It means Brits can finally book a staycation for summer – although international travel will still likely be on hold.

Many tour operators were hoping to resume by the Easter holidays, although this has been quashed.

Despite this, a boom in demand from Brits saw Easter holidays soar in price by as much as £1,500.
