From the Royal Wedding to a dog riding a pony, there have been some cracking videos uploaded to YouTube this year.
Now, YouTube has revealed the most popular videos in the UK in 2018, based on views.
A spokesperson for YouTube said: “From international phenomenons and once in a lifetime countrywide celebrations to thrilling moments from famous faces and YouTube’s biggest names, this year’s list of top trending videos represents the amazing variety of creativity brought to YouTube every single day of the year.”
But while Ariana Grande’s video for thank u, next has undeniably been one of the most highly-anticipated videos this year, it doesn’t seem to have made the cut.
YouTube added: “The channels that created them have more than 79 million subscribers combined, all of whom regularly tune in to enjoy the latest videos created by YouTube’s community of amazing broadcasters and creators.”
YouTube also revealed the top music videos in the UK this year.
Maroon 5 ft Cardi B Girls Like You was the most watched video, closely followed by Drake God’s Plan and Ariana Grande no tears left to cry.
