Yahoo email is experiencing a significant outage this today (Thursday, August 5). Users are reportedly unable to access the site or its Yahoo email platform. The email issues started 7.30am, with thousands of unable to accessing Yahoo or accessing their inbox.
When trying to check the main homepage, users encounter the message: “This site can’t be reached. www.yahoo.com’s server IP address could not be found.”

A Yahoo spokesperson acknowledged the email issue, telling Express.co.uk: “You may not be able to access some of our services, including email.
“Our top priority right now is getting this fixed. We appreciate your patience.”
Issues have been spotted around Europe and parts of the US.
Posting messages on Down Detector’s forum, one user said: “No Yahoo at all today but I’ve never had this before. Anyone know what the problem actually is?”
Whilst another added: “Yahoo mail not working on my iPhone neither or the app nor the website.”
Yahoo fans have also taken to social media to vent their frustrations with one user posting on Twitter: “Anyone know if Yahoo mail is down? It’s not loading for me.’
Whilst another vented: “The entire site is down and I’m getting a ‘server not found’ message for any yahoo address. How the heck can we use your mail (which I’ve had for 20 years) if there’s no site?”
