Thankfully, the millions of Microsoft Windows 10 users can rely on the operating system’s array of security features. One of those on offer is Safe Mode, intended to help fix most problems in Microsoft Windows 10.
How to enter Windows 10 Safe Mode:
Safe Mode loads with only the minimum set of drivers, software and service.
When Windows 10 does not start normally, Safe Mode should start with no problem.
Safe Mode is a useful place to troubleshoot any problems.
Begin the procedure to ensure your computer is turned off.
Press the power button to turn on your computer, then hold the power button down until the computer shuts down automatically.
Then repeat this process twice until Preparing Automatic Repair appears.
Remember, this screen pops-up when Windows is attempting to fix the problem by itself – if this screen is seen the first time when you power up the computer, this step can be skipped.
Next, click Advanced options, then the system will bring up the Windows Recovery Environment.
On the Troubleshoot screen, select Advanced Options, then click Startup Settings to continue.
By selecting Restart, another screen opens showing a list of different startup options.
Finally, press the 4 number key to enter Safe Mode without network.
If you need to do some online research after boot into the Safe Mode, press the 5 number key to enter Safe Mode with network access.
How to exit Windows 10 Safe Mode:
To exit Safe Mode, open the System Configuration tool by opening the Run command.
The keyboard shortcut is: Windows key + R) and typing msconfig then Ok.
Tap or click the Boot tab, uncheck the Safe boot box, hit Apply, and then Ok.
Restarting your machine will then exit Windows 10 Safe Mode.
