If you are trying and failing to access your TikTok app this morning you are not alone. It appears the social media platform is having some serious technical issues with thousands complaining that they can’t check videos on the smartphone app. The gremlins appear to have begun at around 10:30am – the outage is still ongoing. There’s no word on what’s causing the problems but Down Detector, which exposes online outages across the globe, is currently showing some 11,000 reports of TikTok having major difficulties.
Down Detector’s forum page is full of users saying that the app keeps crashing with one user, named Tiarnan, saying: “Keeps kicking me out as soon as I open the app.”
Thousands of TikTok fans have also flooded Twitter to complain about the outage with many left frustrated that they can’t get their daily dose of videos.
Tweeting about the outage, one TikTok fan, called Auntie Key, said: “What else am I supposed to do with my life? #tiktokdown.”
Meanwhile, another users, called Izzy, tweeted: “TikTok is down for everyone?? I thought it was just me.”
