PlayStation gamers are about to be hit by white-hot nostalgia with the release of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, 20 years after the original game launched for the PlayStation in 1998.
Spyro is a beloved classic among many video game enthusiasts, and the new HD upgrade should transport you straight back to your childhood as you hunt for dragons.
The new trilogy will contain remasters of Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon, all with complete graphical updates to bring the games into the 21st century.
The added bonus is that Xbox One players can also enjoy this nostalgia trip, as it will be launching on Microsoft’s console, too.
All three games are bundled up into one combined experience, similar with how Sony re-released the incredibly popular Crash Bandicoot games from Naughty Dog with the N.Sane Trilogy.
The game was pushed back by a few months, much to Spyro fans’ disappointment. But at last, the lovable purple dragon will be breathing fire in glorious 4K HD as of today.
