If you’ve been bingeing the latest series of Love Island, you’ll be aware that we’re rapidly approaching the final of the seventh season. Monday August 23 will see the winner of the hugely popular dating show crowned …and walk away with a share of the hefty £50,000 prize fund.

To celebrate the end of the series, which regularly attracts more than 3 million viewers across all platforms, Sky has launched new voice controls for viewers with the Sky Q Voice Remote. If you’ve signed up to Sky Q within the last year, you should have the new-look Sky Q Voice Remote already waiting for you on the coffee table. For those who have had the satellite set-top box a little longer, Sky regularly offers the upgraded kit for free to customers.

If you want to jump straight into everything Love Island, Sky Q has added 10 fan-favourite phrases to its voice search feature. Saying any of these into the Voice Remote will jump into the latest goings-on from inside the villa.

To test the new Love Island shortcut ahead of the final, here are the key phrases you’ll need to say into your telly remote:

  1. I’ve got a text
  2. You’re my girlfriend
  3. Moving mad
  4. No way
  5. Type on paper
  6. Casa Amor
  7. Dead ting
  8. Loyal
  9. Eggs in baskets
  10. Head turned

If you’re a little behind with the latest break-ups and make-ups, Sky Q viewers can catch-up with all previously-aired episodes on-demand.

And once that’s out of the way, you can find all suggestions of the latest shows and films from Sky – recommended based on your viewing history, what’s trending nationwide as well as a sprinkling of the most talked-about new titles too – with a single phrase. Just say “What should I watch?” into your Sky Q Voice Remote to see a personalised selection of recommendations from Sky channels, Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+, BBC iPlayer, and many more.
