Red Dead Redemption 2's Online Beta launch dates announced

Even if you’ve somehow managed to finish Red Dead Redemption 2‘s massive storyline and explored every nook and cranny of its huge world, don’t think about putting that disc back in the box.

Rockstar has announced that the Red Dead Online Beta period begins tomorrow (November 27), although only to a select group of people. It will be rolled out to more people bit by bit throughout the week.

Here’s how it’s going to work out:

Red Dead Redemption 2: Ultimate Edition players get access on Tuesday (November 27).

Everyone who played the game on the October 26 launch day gets to join in on Wednesday (November 28).

People who played the game between October 26 and 29 get Beta access on Thursday (November 29).

Finally, everyone who owns RDR2 can get in on the fun on Friday (November 30).

Since this is a beta and not a demo, you can expect bugs and glitches, with Rockstar hoping the community feedback will allow them to identify and squash said bugs.

In RDR Online, you can play solo and join a Posse of up to seven players. There will be skirmishes, attacking enemy bases, challenges set by familiar faces, hunting and, of course, fishing.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. If you are on the fence about getting the game yet, you can read Digital Spy‘s review here.
