Digital Black Friday is coming — and the crowds are online, not on line.
The online blowout sale that is Amazon Prime Day 2019 will span 48 hours this year, beginning at midnight.
The two-day discount even running Monday through Tuesday is open exclusively to Prime members in certain markets — including the United States, the UK, Spain, Singapore, the Netherlands, Mexico, Luxembourg, Japan, Italy, India, Germany, France, China, Canada, Belgium, Austria, Australia and the United Arab Emirates. The latter country is a new addition to Prime Day sales this year.

Creating a normal account on Amazon is free, but an Amazon Prime membership will run you $8.99 a month for a Prime Video-only membership, $12.99 a month for an overall monthly membership or a $119 flat fee for an annual membership with all the same allowances as Prime Monthly.
Signing up is almost too easy (and canceling is far harder): Create an Amazon account if you don’t already have one and then click the “Try Prime” button in the corner. It will take you to the Prime landing page, where clicking the “Try Prime” button will automatically charge your card — but you can cancel anytime.
Signing up for an Amazon Prime Free Trial will give you all the same allowances and discounts as a full Amazon Prime member for 30 days, including during Prime Day. You only get one free trial per email address, and you have to manually cancel before 30 days if you don’t want to be charged.
Last year, Amazon sold 100 million products during Prime Day, hitting the $900 million sales mark for the first time ever.
