U.S. President Donald Trump signed a new $2.3 trillion USD COVID-19 relief bill on Sunday, but according to The New York Post, the bill also includes a 180-day countdown for the Pentagon and other American intelligence agencies to disclose all the information they have regarding unidentified flying objects, or what the government calls “unidentified aerial phenomena.”
The instruction wasn’t within the actual text of the bill itself, but was included in a “committee comment” from the Senate Intelligence Committee, which states that it “directs the [director of national intelligence], in consultation with the Secretary of Defense and the heads of such other agencies … to submit a report within 180 days of the date of enactment of the Act, to the congressional intelligence and armed services committees on unidentified aerial phenomena.”
Noting that the issues regarding UFOs have now gained support from both parties in both Houses of Congress, former deputy assistant secretary of defense for intelligence Chris Mellon remarked: “I’m hopeful the new Administration will rigorously execute its oversight prerogatives because the concerns of the public and numerous U.S. military personnel have been ignored by a complacent national security bureaucracy for far too long.”
