Netflix is coming to Sky Q as part of an "ultimate on demand" TV package

Netflix has been announced to be coming to Sky Q as part of a new Sky subscription pack.

Coming in November later this year, Ultimate On Demand will provide customers with the full Netflix service in addition to the 400 or so UK and US series from Sky Box Sets, becoming the UK’s biggest on-demand TV service. You can pre-register here.

This means that with one single package, subscribers will be able to mix shows like Game of Thrones and Save Me with Netflix’s Stranger Things and Orange Is the New Black.

For Sky Q subscribers, Ultimate On Demand will cost £10 a month, which is cheaper than the combined cost of subscribing to Netflix and Sky Box Sets separately.

Existing Sky Q customers with Netflix can link their account for free by signing in using their login details.

“We want Sky Q to be the number one destination for TV fans,” said Sky UK and Ireland CEO Stephen van Rooyen.

“Partnering with Netflix means we will have all the best TV in one great value pack, making it even easier for you to watch all of your favourite shows.”

Netflix’s director business development UK/IE Chris Whiteley added: “Innovation is at the core of Netflix.

“We are delighted to partner with Sky to offer fans a new and exciting way to access the best of entertainment from around the world.”

This integration means that Sky Q’s homepage will also display recommendations for both Sky and Netflix shows.
