Netflix and Virgin Media not working as connection problems drag on for days

It appears as though Virgin Media are experiencing a widespread connection issue that's preventing customers from accessing some Netflix services.

And it doesn't sound as though there's a quick fix in sight with reports online suggesting that the problems have been ongoing for days without any sort of update on when Virgin Media will have a fix.

The Independent outage monitor Down Detector has received a slew of reports related to Netflix over the past few days, but more so in the hours of Saturday night, presumably when most people have attempted to use the service.

However, most are reporting that it simply isn't working, something Netflix say is a problem on Virgin Media's end in one of many replies sent to unhappy customers.

A quick check on Twitter will show numerous responses from Netflix similar to the below:

"Hey there, thanks for reaching out! We're aware of an issue that some customers are having trouble using Netflix with their Virgin Media connection. We're working really hard to investigate this right now. Thank you so much for understanding"

Whilst Virgin Media are likewise also sending numerous responses to unhappy customers, something along the lines of:

"We're still on the process of investigating this Netflix app issue. We apologise for the inconvenience. We never mean to compromise your viewing experience. For anything else, you can always reach us here."

Unfortunately, for the time being, there seems to be no explanation as to what the issue is, nor how long it will take Virgin Media or Netflix to resolve the issue.
