MotoGP 2019 continues today with the world’s best motorbike riders about to lock horns at the British GP in Silverstone.
MotoGP fans will be hoping the 2019 season brings up another classic race as it did last time out in Austria.
During that dramatic race at the Red Bull Ring Andrea Dovizioso pipped Marc Marquez to the win with a final corner overtake.
That dramatic finish came after a ding-dong battle in which the Ducati and Repsol Honda stars traded places numerous times in the final laps.
The result means Dovizioso closed the gap to championship leader Marquez to 58 points.
Speaking ahead of the Silverstone GP Dovi said morale in the Ducati garage was “sky high”.
He said: “Nothing gives you more satisfaction and confidence than a victory, and so we come to Silverstone with our morale sky-high.
“Even though the characteristics of the British track are not as favourable to us as Brno and Zeltweg, we have already shown that we can also be quick at Silverstone, like in 2017 when we won the race.
“As always, the weather will play an important part and we have to be ready to adapt to any circumstances.”
