The medical records of more than 1,000 people in Singapore living with HIV have been leaked in the latest data breach .
According to local LGBTI organisation, Oogachaga, people affected by the breach have been diagnosed with HIV since 2010.
Worryingly, the data leaked could be used to identify these people.
According to Channel NewsAsia, the person who leaked the records was Mikhy K Farrera Brochez – an American convicted of fraud and drug-related offences in Singapore.
Revealing personal data of people living with HIV is a criminal offence in Singapore.
Speaking to Gay Star News , Leow Yangfa, director of Ooogachaga, said: “Those of us who live without HIV cannot begin to imagine what it must be like and what they are going through right now.

The Ministry of Health is now calling people who have been affected.
