Mark Zuckerberg is best known as the co-founder and current CEO of Facebook. But despite being a social media expert, the entrepreneur is difficult to track down online. In fact, the self-made billionaire hasn’t issued a single tweet or updated his profile on Twitter – one of the main platforms he doesn’t own – since March 2009.

His last tweet read: “Also just created a public page on FB.”

As yet, this means he hasn’t reacted to today’s global outage which saw Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram all crash.

Millions of users have reported issues with the apps, with many not working or failing to connect.

Facebook, which owns the three platforms facing problems today, has had to turn to its rival to issue a statement, however, which said: “We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience.”
