If you’re sick of all the new Android devices that have been flooding onto phone shop floors, you might be interested to learn that Apple is finally releasing the new iPhone XR as of today (October 26).
The XR, a smaller, budget-alternative to the XS and XS Max, is nothing to be sniffed at. It packs a similar punch to 2017s iPhone X, and sits comfortably among some of the more powerful smartphones available at the moment.
A number of networks and retailers are opening up their digital store-fronts to let you order the phone now, so get shopping.

Networks are scrambling to offer the best deals on the new budget option iPhone XR, a move that’s sure to attract any Apple devotees who were turned off by the steep prices of the iPhone XS and XS Max.
Here’s a rundown of the best options we’ve found.
Fonehouse – You can buy the iPhone XR from just £48 a month, with an upfront cost of £35. You will receive unlimited minutes and texts and a whopping 30GB of data.
Carphone Warehouse – Buy the iPhone XR from just £27.99 a month, with an upfront cost of £249.99.
You can upgrade to £49.99 a month, with an upfront cost of £99.99 to get 100GB of data.
Sky Mobile – Prices for the iPhone XR start from just £34 per month, with 1GB data allowance and Unlimited Calls & Texts.
You can also sign up to the Sky Mobile Swap12 or Swap24 deal which lets you upgrade your phone after 12 or 24 months.
The Swap12 deal will cost you £58 a month for 15GB of data and unlimited calls and texts, or alternatively, the Swap24 deal will cost you £48 per month for the same deal.
You can even get involved with the Piggybank deal, which gives you 20GB of extra data which you can use over the length of your contract to supplement your existing contract.
If you don’t use that data, it will be rolled into the next month’s piggybank, racking up extra credit which can be used to get money off accessories and other devices for your phone, such as cases and Bluetooth speakers.
giffgaff – You can get some decent prices on the three memory versions (64GB, 128GB, 256GB) of the iPhone XR from giffgaff…
• The iPhone XR 64GB will cost £749 to buy outright, or £35.94 a month.
• The iPhone XR 128GB will cost £799 to buy outright, or £38.42 a month.
• The iPhone XR 256GB will cost £899 to buy outright, or £43.39 a month.
EE – iPhone XR is available from EE from £54 per month, plus £100 up front, including a 1GB monthly data allowance.
iPhone XR is also available from EE from £68 per month, plus £50 up front including 100GB of data with an EE 4GEE Max Plan.
Vodafone – The iPhone XR is available for £50 per month (£49 upfront cost) on a Red Extra plan, which includes unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 26GB of data. Alternatively, pay £6 more a month for a massive 100GB of data.
Those who pre-order an iPhone XR before 19th December 2018 on a 16GB Red Extra or 32GB Red Entertainment plan and above will receive an extra 10GB of data a month for the duration of their contract.

As mentioned before, the iPhone XR shouldn’t be ignored when compared to the XS and XS Max – especially considering its comparative cost.
The iPhone XR features a completely all-screen glass and aluminium case, similar to the previous few iterations of the iPhone.
