Honor 20 Pro is expected to debut this afternoon at the firm’s scheduled hardware event in London with rumours suggesting the handset could prove to be a budget alternative to Huawei’s P30 Pro.
The Honor 20 Pro appears to have leaked extensively ahead of its unveiling, many outings of which have tipped the phone to come with a whopping four cameras on its rear.
An alleged image of the device’s main photography array recently surfaced on SlashLeaks; the hardware was stated to come with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 16-megapixel ultra wide-angle module, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens and a 2-megapixel “macro” system.
If such a leak is true, the Honor 20 Pro could stand as a cheaper alternative to more premium devices such as the P30 Pro that offer multiple lenses for a diverse photo capturing experience.
On its front, the Honor 20 Pro is anticipated to tout an all-screen design with its front-facing camera punched through the display.
Such a suggestion comes by way of an image posted by Linus Tech Tips on Twitter that appeared to show the top-half of the device sitting on its packaging.
It is unknown if the panel used will be LCD or OLED.
In terms of specs, it is expected the Honor 20 Pro will be powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 980 chipset which is capable of delivering rapid speeds across Google’s Android operating system.
Unfortunately, no rumours have suggested a cost for the new Chinese device.
However, Honor are renowned for pricing their devices underneath more premium products from the likes of Huawei and Samsung.
In addition to the Honor 20 Pro, it has been rumoured a cheaper version of the smartphone series will also be detailed later today simply dubbed the Honor 20.
This device has similarly been plagued by outings that have stated it will boast a 6.26-inch LCD display and feature a cutout for its front-facing camera.
The standard Honor 20 has also been tipped to come with a quad-camera array but forgo a telephoto system in favour of a depth sensor.
It is assumed this device will be positioned as more affordable than the Honor 20 Pro.
Honor’s hardware showcase will kick-off at 2pm today and is taking place in London.
Express.co.uk will be attending the exhibition and will be bringing you all the latest announcements as they happen.
