How to set up a video call in Google Meet:
Begin by clicking the app icon, resembling a video camera, to open the dashboard.
You will then see the settings icon in the screen’s upper right-hand corner.
Clicking this icon opens a view window showing your device’s audio and webcam, allowing you to test them.
This is a good way to make sure the tools required to host a video conference are working.
Then when you are ready to create a meeting, just click Join or start a meeting.
You will be asked to enter a meeting code if you are joining an existing meeting, or to title the meeting you are creating.
On this screen, you will have one more opportunity to ensure your device’s audio and video capabilities are working.
On the right-hand side of the view screen, click Join now to start your meeting.
A window will pop up with your meeting information and a link to Add people.
Clicking this will list all people in your Gmail contacts along with a field to invite others not in your contacts.
