It’s one of London’s most famous landmarks, and now Google Maps users have spotted a sneaky hidden feature over Buckingham Palace.
The sneaky feature, known as an Easter Egg, was spotted by one Reddit user while using Google Maps Street View to look at the palace.
Reddit user lrcomedx discovered that when you look at a bird’s-eye-view of Buckingham Palace on Street View, it will show a small cartoon of the Queen.
They wrote: “If you try to use Google street view just above Buckingham palace the character will look like the Queen.”
Several Reddit users are loving the hidden feature, with one replying: “It’s these small details that make me happy.”
However, another user noted that the cartoon looks like it’s giving a rather rude gesture.
They replied: “I know she’s supposed to be waving but it really looks like Liz is giving us the finger.”
Buckingham Palace isn't the only location where the cartoon person changes to the Queen – you'll notice the same thing happens when you search for Balmoral Castle or Windsor Castle!
1. Open Google Maps on your computer
2. Search for Buckingham Palace
3. Click Satellite View in the bottom left corner of the map
4. The small cartoon person in the bottom right corner of the map should now appear as the Queen
5. Drag this cartoon to different sections of the map to explore it from a Street View level
