Google 3D: How to use Google 3D animals

Silicon Valley giant Google has released a fun new feature able to transform your room into a virtual zoo. Users can now view a variety of 3D animals in Google Search using augmented reality.

How to find 3D animals on Google:

Google’s augmented reality animals are incredibly easy to access in search.

The concept behind the project is the easiest way to learn about something is to see it.

By seeing things in augmented reality, users can see the scale of an object in addition to spotting details they may not otherwise notice from a simple picture.

To make them easy to access, Google puts its 3D animals and other augmented reality objects right at the top of search.

For example, searching for “tiger” will show a Google Search Knowledge Panel.

These panels are often shown for films, famous celebrities and other subjects.

In the case of a 3D animal through Google, you will see an overview of what the animal is, some images of it and a section saying Meet a Life-Sized Tiger Up Close and a View in 3D button.

This button launches the augmented reality 3D animal experience.

What you need to View In Your Space animals on Google:

The new augmented reality technology is currently experiencing a few teething problems.

Google’s 3D animals are different on every device and users require a supported smartphone to view these objects using Google’s View in Space option.

To view augmented reality objects in Google Search you will need:

Android smartphone or tablet: Android 7.0 or higher w/ pre-installed Google Play Store or an iPhone/iPad: iOS 11.0 or higher.

After pressing View in 3D any supported device will show a View In Your Space button underneath the 3D animal.

You can resize the animal from its life-size by pinching on it.

The planets, for example, appear more reliably when you add “in depth” to the search query.

In the future, Google may also add more objects to this collection.

There is also intriguing evidence that 3D cars may be coming to Google soon.
