Fortnite Chapter 2 finally launches – here’s a look at the new map

After days of speculation, Fortnite Chapter 2 has finally gone live for players around the world.

The launch comes after a two-day blackout that saw the popular game crash, leaving players only able to see a ‘black hole’ on their screens.

Epic Games has now released a huge update, which is a whopping 16GB for PC users, 9GB for PS4 gamers, and 192MB for those playing on an iPhone .

While the patch notes for the update are yet to be released, the map gives us a hint of what to expect.

When players first play Chapter 2, they’ll notice that the map is washed in grey, with location names replaced by question marks.

However, as you visit each location, the names will be revealed.

According to Eurogamer , there are 12 new locations, including Craggy Cliffs, Dirty Docks, Frenzy Farm, Holly Hedges and Lazy Lake, Misty Meadows, Retail Row, Salty Springs, Slurpy Swamp, Steamy Stacks, Sweaty Sands and Weeping Woods.

As well as these main locations, Chapter 2 also includes new locations called landmarks.

Like the locations, the names for these 10 landmarks will be uncovered as you visit them, helping to colour in the map.
