Elon Musk has threatened to sue Microsoft after accusing the tech giant of 'illegally using Twitter data' to train AI.
Responding to the news that Microsoft plans to remove Twitter from its advertising platform, Musk said: "They trained illegally using Twitter data. Lawsuit time."
Musk did not provide any supporting evidence for his claim, and Twitter's official press email responds to all queries with a poo emoji.

It's unclear then if Musk is serious about launching a lawsuit or if he just has sour grapes following an announcement from Microsoft that it will 'no longer support Twitter' on its advertising platform from next Tuesday, April 25.
Microsoft hasn't explained why it is removing support for Twitter from its Smart Campaigns platform, which is used by advertisers to manage social media campaigns across Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
However, Twitter recently announced it was planning to charge thousands of pounds per month for companies hoping to use its previously free app developer interface, which may have something to do with it.
Musk's challenges to make Twitter profitable are well-documented, with the platform losing many of its top-paying advertisers since the SpaceX CEO took over.

In a BBC interview earlier this month, Musk said of Twitter: "If current trends continue, I think we could be profitable, or to be more precise, cash flow positive this quarter if things keep going well."
Musk's own personal wealth has plummeted since he bought Twitter for $44bn, and he's no longer the world's richest person—that title belongs to billionaire Louis Vuitton boss, Bernard Arnault.
He admitted the firm isn't even worth half of what he paid for it last year.
