Costa is running an unmissable deal to celebrate its 50th anniversary. The timing couldn’t be better as England and Wales take further steps out of lockdown. Starting this week, non-essential retail and hairdressers are able to open their doors once again, while pubs and restaurants are able to serve customers outside. If you’re out and about, it’s well worth downloading the Costa coffee app on iPhone and Android to unlock a brilliant money-saving for a limited time.
Between Tuesday April 13 and Thursday April 15, Costa is offering any hot drink on its menu to customers for just 50p when they order using the Costa app. To take advantage of the deal, customers will have to register with the Costa Coffee Club mobile app.
Then when they purchase a hot drink at a participating store they will need to have the app scanned to claim their bargain beverage. Drinks on offer include the handcrafted oat milk Flat-White, Costa Coffee’s signature Hot Chocolate or the limited-edition Toffee Spiced Latte. The latter usually costs as much as £3.60 for a large, so 50p is a sizeable saving!

Costa customers can take advantage of this offer when they pop into a store or via a Costa Coffee Drive-Thru or using Click & Collect via the Costa Coffee mobile app.
Speaking about the deal a Costa Coffee spokesperson said: “We are delighted to continue our 50th birthday celebrations by bringing Costa Coffee fans this amazing offer of ANY barista-made hot drink for just 50p.
“We know it’s been a tough start to 2021 for many and we want to bring some joy to our customers this Spring, especially at a time when lockdown restrictions are easing, and we now have an opportunity to catch up with friends and family.”
However, on the day that this promotion launched Costa customers have been reporting issues with the app. This morning after the deal launched Costa customers have reported getting an error message when they tried to use the app which said: “Oops! Sorry, it’s not you, it’s us. Please try again later.”
As the issues hit Costa customers took to Twitter to report that the Costa app wasn’t working for them. One tweeted: “I’ve been trying to log on all morning. Really disappointed as I was looking forward to my 50p Costa.”
While another posted: “Would love to take advantage of the #CostaCoffee 50p drinks today with the hubby as we travel (essentially). But alas the @CostaCoffee app has crashed and logged me out and stopped him using his. Come on Costa! If you run an offer make sure your digital teams are prepared!”
One added: “Such a shame the @CostaCoffee app has decided to stop working today. Can people still get their drinks at the special price?”
And another wrote: “@CostaCoffee trying to log in again as it’s logged me out and now not working at all. How can you fix this so I can get the 50p offer?”
