If you’re looking to cut down on your monthly broadband bill, then you’re shopping at the right time. Although Black Friday itself doesn’t arrive until Friday November 29, there are deals aplenty to be found online and in-store.
BT is getting in on the action by slashing the prices of its fibre broadband packages – saving you well over £100 on your internet bill. Not only that, but many of the bundles come with a pre-paid Reward Card too.
For those who don’t know, the BT Reward Card is essentially a fancy branded MasterCard that comes preloaded with money. As such, the card can be spent anywhere you’d usually a MasterCard – that’s more than 200 territories worldwide and millions of high street stores and shops within those countries. So, you shouldn’t be short of choice when it comes to spending your free money.
Perhaps the best deal around is for BT SuperFast Fibre Essential, which offers average download speeds of 36Mb. That should be more than enough to stream all the box sets you want from Netflix and the like, as well as some online multiplayer on your games console of choice. You might run into a little stuttering if you’ve got a house packed with connected home gadgets (or people with individual phones and tablets) all vying to access the internet at exactly the same time. But if that’s not an issue, then this is a seriously brilliant discount.
The BT SuperFast Fibre Essential plan now costs £24.99 a month – down from £29.99, which includes line rental. In total, that’s a pretty respectable £120 saving over the 24-month contract. It also includes BT Virus Protect on two devices in your household.
But alas, there’s no BT Reward Card with this one – as it’s such an awesome saving already.
If you’re looking for one of those, your best bet is the UltraFast Fibre 250 plan, which offers speeds of at least 150Mb and has an average speed of 300Mb. Sign-up to that £49.99 plan and you’ll get a free £125 Reward Card to spend on whatever you want.
