Beta Version of Microsoft Excel Confirms Upcoming Apple Silicon-Powered Macs Reveal

According to reports, the beta version of Microsft Office for Mac has accidentally confirmed that Apple is set to reveal its range of ARM-based Apple Silicon CPU-powered Macs.

The beta version of Excel for Mac notes it is “Apple Silicon compatible” in regards to its support for SQL Server connection setting. On its official website, Microsoft writes, “This feature provides support for SQL Server ODBC data connections so that it can work properly on new devices with Apple Silicon processors, and support requires TLS v1. 2 protocol for secure connections to SQL Server.” (This feature provides support for SQL Server ODBC data connections to work properly on new devices that have Apple Silicon processors, as well as support for SQL Servers that require secure connections via the TLS v1.2 protocol.)”

According to rumors, Apple is expected to announce 13-inch MacBook Pro, 16-inch MacBook Pro and a 13-inch MacBook Air all outfitted with Apple Silicon processors at its upcoming “One More Thing” event.
