Barclaycard users are reporting issues with the high street bank’s website and app today.
Independent outage monitor Down Detector has recorded a surge in Barclaycard down reports, with the problem appearing to hit users since this morning.
Down Detector UK has recorded hundreds of Barclaycard down reports today, with the majority of these (87 percent) to do with sign-in issues.
The official Barclaycard service status website has also confirmed issues with the website, but said the app is still up and running.
The Barclays Status website said: “We’re sorry, you might have a problem logging in to Barclaycard online servicing right now – we’re working to fix this. You can still use our Barclaycard app or call us and we’ll be happy to help.”
While on Twitter the official Barclaycard account said engineers are working on a fix for the issues affecting users which they hope to rollout as soon as possible.
As the Barclaycard problems hit users took to social networking site Twitter to report the issues they were facing.
One tweeted: “@Barclays @Barclaycard My Barclaycard account is no longer displayed on my Barclays app. Is it a problem at my end or yours?”
While another posted: “hey @Barclaycard – do you have a website problem?”
One added: “@Barclaycard I can’t seem to login to your website today, just get the following: The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.”
And another wrote: “@Barclaycard Any news when the problem will be fixed? Can’t log in online & app not working either! Thanks”
