Apple is brewing up something special for Halloween this year, with a global announcement scheduled for 2pm UK time.
A glimpse into the future suggests they could be about to release a set of brand new iPads, meaning prices on older models are dropping.
It may have been a busy 2018 for Apple, but the company isn’t done yet, with a new line of tech joining the iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max in what has been a whirlwind close to the year.
You might be waiting to snag a great deal on iPads and tablets during Black Friday, but given the announcement later today, now might well be the best time to buy…
The best iPad deals
The latest model of the Apple iPad has dropped price slightly across many retailers, giving you the best chance to find a great deal.
For example, Currys is currently offering the 9.7″ iPad 32GB, for £319 – and if you’d prefer not to pay one lump sum, the firm offers flexible credit which could let you spread the costs with monthly instalments of £11.57 a month across 36 months.

Currys is also selling the smaller iPad mini 4 with 128GB for just £299. The same kind of deals with trade-in and finance also apply, so you’ve got a good opportunity to snag yourself a bargain.
John Lewis & Partners is also joining in, selling the 9.7-inch iPad for £319 and offering you a 3-year guarantee at no extra cost.
Upgrade to the iPad 9.7-inch iPad with 128GB for just £409 (again with a 3-year guarantee included).
And Amazon has dropped its prices on the 2017 model, bringing the price of the 9.7″ tablet down to just £320. This deal only lasts until October 31 (aka ‘tomorrow’), so get a wriggle on if you want to get the best price.
Or you can go all out and buy the Apple iPad Pro 10.5″ 64GB for £544.30, giving you 4K video recording, a 12MP camera and a faster processor.
The absolute cheapest we found was on Argos, which lets you buy the 2017 model iPad for just £299.
If you’re signed up to certain networks for your phone contract, you can get some great deals in the iPad by paying small monthly chunks, similar to your phone contract.
Sky Mobile: Pay £12 upfront and then pay £23 a month for 36 months. You can also opt into the Swap scheme, which lets you swap your old iPad for a new one every 36 months.
O2: You can get the 9.7-inch iPad for £30 upfront and then £13.34 a month. You can also get 3GB of data and 100 texts for just £9.50.
Carphone Warehouse: Pay £139.99 upfront and then £37 a month for the iPad Pro 10.5″ with 20GB of data. The EE plan also includes 24 months of BT Sport for free.
