Xavier Woods insists The New Day will NEVER part ways amid WWE split rumours

They may have dominated the tag team division in WWE for the last four years, but Xavier Woods insists The New Day will continue to stand the test of time.

The popular trio are SmackDown Tag Team Champions having won the gold for the fifth time after overcoming The Bludgeon Brothers in New York this past week.

One of their tag title reigns over on Monday Night Raw, lasting some 483 days, set a WWE record, as the pancake-loving chums spread the power of positivity.

As is always the case, however, there is never a successful tag team without rumours of an impending split surrounding them.

Yet Woods has claimed The New Day will never go down the route of so many successful teams of the past – a heel turn here or a solo run there.

The 31-year-old insists that he, Big E and Kofi Kingston are in it for the long haul.

He told Give Me Sport: "I don’t remember a group in wrestling that hasn’t turned on itself, or they’ll turn, then come back and be a group again.

"I’m telling you this right now – New Day will never turn – ever.

"We have zero desire to ever do that. I have zero desire to go to work and not work with my friends.

"We are having the most fun we’ve ever had in our careers. It’s not like someone’s like, ‘oh, I need to sabotage my friends to be champ.’ What is it to be champ when you’re a champ by yourself?

"You’re standing up there alone on this cold mountainous castle? That’s not fun. I’d rather be up there with my friends."
