WWE Royal Rumble 2019 matches, date, start time, location, rumors

WWE kicks off 2019 with one of its biggest events of the year — the annual Royal Rumble. This year’s Rumble will take place on Sunday, Jan. 27 at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona, home of baseball’s Arizona Diamondbacks.

The show marks the start of WrestleMania season for the company, the busiest and typically most exciting time of its calendar year for the promotion as they build toward the annual extravaganza.

For the second consecutive year, the Royal Rumble will include both a men’s and women’s Royal Rumble match with 30 participants in each bout and the last person standing earning a championship match at WrestleMania 35 in April. Several championship matches have already been announced along with some of the Royal Rumble entrants. The rest of the card will continue to take shape over the next few weeks. Until then, keep checking back here on Sporting News for the updated card and for live coverage of the Royal Rumble.
