WNBA draft: Michelle Obama stylist Sergio Hudson designed No. 1 pick Charli Collier's draft-night look

There was no physical red carpet for Thursday's virtual WNBA draft.

But that didn't stop the league's top prospects from showing out on their big night.

As expected, Texas forward Charli Collier stayed close to home as the No. 1 pick of the Dallas Wings. And she had some high-profile fashion help for her WNBA coming out party.

While surrounded by family and loved ones at home, Collier spoke with ESPN's Holly Rowe about the momentous occasion of becoming the No. 1 pick in the draft. She spoke with Rowe about enlisting Michelle Obama's stylist Sergio Hudson to help with her draft-night look.

"It's amazing," Collier said of working with Hudson. "I feel like it's just a taste of what I'm gonna expect for years to come. I'm now a professional. …

"Sergio's so amazing. I'm so thankful. I thanked him again and again for thinking about me and wanting to collab with this. I just thank him so much for getting this piece ready for me and having me looking right for the draft."

So what did Hudson put together for Collier? Here she is in her draft-night finest.

If you're not familiar with Hudson, he's the designer that put together Obama's outfit that turned heads at President Joe Biden's inauguration in January.

While Collier was the star of the night, she wasn't the only player celebrating a life-changing moment on Thursday. And these ladies weren't letting a pandemic stop them from celebrating the moment in style.
