Who is Deontay Wilder's brother Marsellos Wilder, and what is his boxing record?

Marsellos is rising through the ranks in boxing, albeit in his brother's shadow, but that will not stop his quest to become a second Wilder world champ.

Who is Marsellos Wilder?

The younger Wilder was born on April 14, 1989 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama – making him 29 with four years separates him and Deontay.

Like his brother, Marsellos previously wanted to play American football, but changed sports after failing to make the grade.

With the advice of his older brother, and even a frightening sparring session, the young Wilder quickly made waves in the unpaid ranks.

What is his boxing record?

Marsellos is new to the boxing scene as a professional with Saturday's bout against David Damore just his third in the paid ranks.

The young Wilder only had seven amateur fights under his belt before stepping up.

He fights at cruiserweight, the division below his heavyweight brother Deontay and holds a 2-0 record with a TKO on his debut against Jalyn Anthony.

Marsellos also knocked out Ryan Williams in his last fight, which was on the Danny Garcia vs Shwn Porter undercard at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

He will now take on Damore, who has won just once in nine fights, as the young Wilder looks to build his reputation and come out of the shadow of his more successful brother.
