When is LeBron James’ first game with LA?

LeBron James will take the court with the Los Angeles Lakers for the first time on Sunday night, but he may not be on the floor for very long.

The Lakers will open the preseason with a game in the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego against the Nuggets. Coach Luke Walton confirmed earlier this week that James will play “more than one and less than 48” minutes. James played in one preseason game for the Cavaliers last season, scoring 17 points in 30 minutes.

LeBron’s Lakers debut will begin at 9:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.

You can stream the game via Watch ESPN.

It’s going to take time for the new-look Lakers to build on-court chemistry, but James said Saturday that he’s been impressed with Lonzo Ball’s progress this summer after the point guard had surgery in July.

Via ESPN:

“I didn’t know he was gonna be full go so fast. He’s been going through live drills the last 2½ days. His bounce is there. His speed is there…. So I don’t even know if he even had surgery.”
