What is Solskjaer's Man United record?
The 45-year-old was not often a starter under Sir Alex Ferguson during his 11 years at Old Trafford – but he was forever the ideal super-sub.
Solskjaer joined Man United in 1996 for just £1.5million at a time when the club were chasing Alan Shearer – who moved to Newcastle for a then world-record fee £15m.
Over the following 11 seasons, he played over 360 matches for the Red Devils, netting 126 times in total -despite spending much of the time on the bench.
He was crucial during United's treble-winning season of 1998/99, scoring four goals in their 8-1 win over Nottingham Forest in the Premier League, despite only coming on for the final 12 minutes.
Solskjaer then went onto score the winner in stoppage time as Man United beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.

Solskjaer played for three clubs during his career, starting with lower league Clausenengen following his year in national service with the Norwegian Army.
He averaged more than a goal a game in his five years there, before joining top-flight side Molde.
A season and a half later, Solskjaer had 40 goals in 50 appearances, leading to interest from German side Hamburg and Italian outfit Cagliari.
Molde manager Age Hareide had offered him to Manchester City and Everton – but United ended up taking a punt on him.
Solskjaer was also a regular for the Norway national team, earning 67 caps and netting 23 times in that period, before he retired in 2007.

Solskjaer began his managerial career at his old club Molde, spending over three years at the club and won the Tippeligaen, Norwegian top-flight, twice in that period.
He made the step up and moved to Cardiff City – but left eight months later after a string of poor results.
The Norway star returned to Molde in 2015, where he remained until joining Man United following Jose Mourinho's sacking.
Solskjaer is expected to return, unless he receives the permanent position.
