West Ham to flog bad boy Arnautovic, Perez, Obiang and Hernandez to create summer transfer war chest

The club wants to sell Marko Arnautovic, Javier Hernandez and Lucas Perez – along with defender Pedro Obiang.

West Ham are prepared to give boss Manuel Pellegrini a major warchest but they are keen to get some of their £100,000-a-week earners off the wage bill.

Striker Arnautovic, who wanted to move to China in January, extended his contract at the club but West Ham would still be keen to sell this summer as they would have time to get in a top replacement.

He has scored eight goals this season but his relationship with supporters has been tarnished following his transfer turmoil last month.

The club will once again look to offload both Perez and Hernandez on permanent switches – not loan deals – as both have been disappointing.

Obiang – who has been at the club for four years – will also be given the chance to leave.

West Ham have improved under Pellegrini but the club believe with the right players, they could threaten to break into the top six.

They currently sit tenth in the Premier League, level on points with Everton, but 14 points adrift of Chelsea in sixth.

Pellegrini heads back to former club Manchester City tonight before West Ham will target maximum points against Newcastle, Cardiff and Huddersfield.
