Wales snare major sponsorship deal for European Championship campaign

The Dragons will be sponsored by energy consultancy company Utility Alliance for the forthcoming matches against Ireland, France and Scotland.

And should John Kear’s men finish in the top two, they will qualify for the 2021 World Cup in England.

Wales face Ireland in Wrexham on November 11 after taking on France in Carcassonne on October 27 and Scotland in Galashiels on November 2.

Wales Rugby League CEO Chris Thair, who also launched a new kit, said: “We will now take the journey together into the upcoming European Championship games against France, Scotland and Ireland, sharing in the excitement as the top two nations qualify for the 2021 World Cup and battle it out once again to be crowned European Champions.”

Meanwhile, Salford are ready to offer Adam Walker a comeback from his drugs ban.

The former Wakefield prop is currently suspended for 20 months for taking cocaine but is available to play again from March.

And sources have told SunSport the Red Devils are prepared to offer the 27-year-old a deal for 2019.
