Vince McMahon will be 'ungodly furious' with WWE superstars who tweeted about AEW's Double or Nothing

VINCE MCMAHON will be “ungodly furious” with his WWE stars tweeting about rival promotion All Elite Wrestling.

The Tony Khan-backed company held its first pay-per-view on Saturday, and many feel a new wrestling war will now unfold after the success of Double or Nothing.

AEW, which is run by Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega, have already lured a number of former WWE performers to their company.

And Jon Moxley – who was working for McMahon less than a month ago as Dean Ambrose – was the latest recruit to join the ranks.

Surprisingly, a number of those still within the WWE ranks also took to Twitter to speak about Double or Nothing, including Sasha Banks, Matt Hardy, Big E and Peyton Royce.

And according to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE’s billionaire owner and his family will be furious.

Their reporter Dave Meltzer said: “The only thing I can say is that everyone in the McMahon family has to be ungodly furious at all those people who were tweeting because it wasn’t just like Sasha Banks.

“They can’t be happy with their own talent tweeting about the rival show and putting it over.”

Banks, currently on hiatus from WWE after requesting to leave, is rumoured to be one of AEW’s next targets.

WWE has led the way in the world of wrestling to become the biggest promotion on the planet since the demise of WCW in 2001.

Now they must be more than slightly concerned about the formation of the AEW and the huge coverage it has received.
