Tyson Fury won't be forced into retirement update with wife Paris only person to tell him what to do, says Frank Warren

FRANK WARREN has insisted "no-one's going to tell Tyson Fury what to do" amid talk of the WBC heavyweight champion retiring.

The 33-year-old defeated mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte inside a packed Wembley Stadium last month to keep his unbeaten record in tact.

But Fury says his bout with his fellow Brit will be his last.

Promoter Warren insists nobody will force Fury's hand on whether to continue fighting or to hang up the gloves.

The decision will be Fury or his wife Paris'.

Warren told The Mirror: "No-one’s going to tell Tyson Fury what to do.

“The only person who will tell Tyson Fury what to do will be Paris or himself.

“There’s nothing for the WBC to assess.

"I don’t see any relevance because there’s no mandatory due, so what are they going to talk about? Why would they strip him? He’s got no mandatory due.

"The only time he gets stripped is if he doesn’t fulfil his mandatory and he’s just had one, that’s it.

“Whatever he’s going to do, he’s going to do.

"I can’t tell him what he should do because he’s too intelligent for me to try and influence.

"He’s a very smart person, a very clever man. Listen, he may turn round and say tomorrow ‘You know what, I’m vacating the title’.

"He may want to do that.”

One man isn't buying Fury's retirement talk. WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.

The Ukrainian believes Fury won't hang up the gloves without taking part in an undisputed heavyweight title fight.
