Tuesday's racing tips: Two longshots to fill your pockets at Lingfield from Jack Keene

Bar one or two bright moments, the master trainer has had a quiet old year by his own very high standards.

But the boss of Beckhampton is enjoying a change of luck and he's unleashed some nice horses on the all-weather of late.

LUMEN (12.10 Lingfield) definitely isn't a Charlton star of the future, but he can shine for his in-form yard at Lingfield on Tuesday afternoon.

The son of Rip Van Winkle has been modest to say the least in four career starts so far.

However, he now tackles 2m for the first time, and the way he has been racing suggests this sort of test will suit.

Jack Out The Box – Tuesday's each-way picks

12.10 LINGFIELD – Lumen: 'Step up in trip and first-time visor both big positives'

1.10 LINGFIELD – Drakefell: 'Unlucky last time and should get a strong pace to aim at here'

He could hardly have been found a weaker race in which to make his handicap debut from a mark of 47, while the first-time visor should perk this lazy lad up.

Later on the same card, DRAKEFELL (1.10) looks overpriced for the Classic-winning combo of Richard Hannon and Sean Levey.

The colt has form figures of 312 at this track and was unfortunate not to finish closer at Kempton last time having met trouble in running.

There should be a good pace on here, so hopefully the race will fall apart and he can pick them up on the run-in.
