Tuesday's best bets: Your best bets and NAP for today's racing at Bath from Callum Jamieson

AFTER Super Saturday and a sizzling Sunday in France, Tuesday's racing is what you could call 'Tired Tuesday.'

But through the fog I've found one bet down at Bath, again siding with the Mark Johnston team.

MISTER CHIANG (Bath, 3.00) is a quirky horse, but one that looks ready to go on a typical Johnston-winning run.

The blinkers worked to an extent last time out at Pontefract, and he did travel well for the majority of the race, before hanging and almost throwing the race away late on.

But jockey Franny Norton managed to get the three-year-old running on again just in the nick of time and he flew home like a well-treated horse.

It meant the handicapper could only put him up 3lbs and with the form of the Middleham stable well advertised, I think he can make the most of that modest rise.

June: +19.73pts

July: +42.90pts

This is a better race than the heat at Pontefract, with the Sir Mark Prescott horse one to watch out for, especially if he is strong in the market.

But if he travels as well as he did at Pontefract, this longer trip should be no issue whatsoever and this improving three-year-old has a turn of foot tucked away too.

He will relish the quicker ground and Johnston is operating at a 27% strike rate at Bath this season.

Norton heads there for two good rides – both for Johnston – and it would be no surprise to see him come back double-handed.
