Trippier's wife 'in Naples looking for schools' ahead of Spurs ace's proposed Napoli transfer

KIERAN TRIPPIER'S wife Charlotte has been spotted "in Naples looking for schools" ahead of the Spurs ace's proposed switch to Italy, according to reports.

The 28-year-old right-back has been repeatedly linked with a move to Napoli in recent weeks, who had an opening bid of £17million rejected last month.

SunSport exclusively revealed how Mauricio Pochettino is demanding around £40m for the World Cup star with Atletico Madrid and Everton also interested.

Trippier's price tag was feared to have been a stumbling block on a move to Serie A, but his wife Charlotte was spotted looking for a house and schools in which to enrol their children in Naples, according to Sky Sport Italia.

Carlo Ancelotti recently confirmed his club's interest in landing the former Burnley defender alongside Manchester United target and PSV star Hirving Lozano.

The Italian said: "I don't like talking about players from other teams. Trippier's wife in Naples? I honestly don't know, but Naples is a beautiful city, there are people who come on holiday.

"But Lozano and Trippier are players who we are evaluating, then later there is everything else that is much more complex.

"Negotiations, players who prefer other things. Among the players we are interested in there can also be these."

Napoli were rumoured to be willing to splash up to £20m on the right-back, who still has three years left on his current contract at White Hart Lane.

The Manchester City youth prospect was reportedly holding out for a dream move to neighbours United but is now closing in on a move to Italy.

DEEP POCH-ETS Pochettino gets go ahead for major spending spree as he plots squad overhaul

Pochettino is braced for a busy summer at Tottenham with the futures of Christian Eriksen, Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose all up in the air.

Spurs are also particularly keen to get rid of Serge Aurier, 26, who cost £23m from Paris Saint-Germain in August 2017 but could be available for half that amount.

This would leave Tottenham with Kyle Walker-Peters as their only right-back with the club targeting  Crystal Palace’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Max Aarons of Norwich.
