SANTIAGO SET TO SIGN
Newcastle United are set to announce the signing of Santiago Munoz on loan.
According to the ChronicleLive the 19-year-old will join from Mexican side Santos Laguna and link up with the U23 squad.
The deal will initially be a loan one, with the option for it to be made permanent next summer.

Here's more on Marc Cucurella from SunSport's Tom Barclay.
Cucurella, 23, can play at left-back, left wing-back and left midfield and predominantly provide competition for Solly March, who himself recently signed a new contract.
The former Barcelona youth player becomes Albion’s third senior signing of the window following the arrivals of midfielder Enock Mwepu and goalkeeper Kjell Scherpen.
Albion boss Graham Potter said: "We have been keen to bring Marc to the club, and we are really pleased to finally welcome him here and are excited to begin working with him.
"He has had a fantastic education in the youth teams at Barcelona and he has gone onto make a real impression in La Liga and within the national set up. He is a versatile player, and he will add competition and options to the squad.”
Long-haired Cucurella has one cap for Spain and represented his country at this summer’s Olympic Games in Tokyo.

DONE DEAL
Brighton have completed the signing of Marc Cucurella from Getafe, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Graham Potter's side met the 23-year-olds £15million release clause yesterday, and he is set to be officially announced shortly.
The versatile left-sided player has put pen-to-paper on a four year deal, with the option for a further 12 months.

NELSON GOING DUTCH
Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson is set to sign for Feyenoord on a season-long loan and is undergoing a medical.
The Dutch outfit turned their attentions to Nelson after a move for Manchester United’s Amad Diallo fell through.
Arsenal academy graduate Nelson spent time on loan with Hoffenheim in the 2018/19 season.
He featured regularly for the Gunners the following term but has struggled for regular game time ever since.

ANGUISSA OUT
SunSport's Tom Barclay reports Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa is in Italy undergoing his medical ahead of a loan move to Napoli.
The Fulham midfielder, 25, is set to join the Serie A outfit for the season with the possibility of turning the deal permanent for £14.6million.
It remains to be seen if Anguissa's imminent departure will see Fulham go back in for Swansea's Matt Grimes.
Swans rejected a £2.5m bid from the Cottagers for Grimes over the weekend.
And while Marco Silva remains a fan of the former Exeter man, 26, the Championship table-toppers could stick with what they have.

MORIBA MOVE
Barcelona man Ilaix Moriba has arrived in Germany to undergo a medical with RB Leipzig, according to Sky Sports.
The 18-year-old midfielder is out of contract at Camp Nou next summer and has opted against extending his stay with the Catalan giants.
Instead the highly rated youngster will join Bundesliga side Leipzig in a deal worth just £5million.

NUNO REUNION
Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo is eyeing a move for his former player Ruben Neves.
According to journalist Pedro Almeida the Portuguese midfielder is 'negotiating a long-term contract with Tottenham.'
A deal worth £34million is being reported, with the news coming as a significant blow to Manchester United.
The Red Devils had previously been linked with a move for Neves, but now Spurs have emerged as the leading candidates for the 24-year-old.

BETIS MEDICAL FOR HEC
Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin will undergo a medical in Seville ahead of a move to Real Betis.
According to Sky Sports, Betis have agreed a loan deal with the Gunners with an option to buy.
Bellerin, whose Arsenal deal expires in 2023, hasn’t featured for the north London outfit this season.
The defender joined Arsenal’s youth team from Barcelona in 2011, working his way through the ranks to make 239 first-team appearances.
The 26-year-old Spain international is a boyhood fan of Betis, who currently sit in 14th place in La Liga.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
Newcastle are ‘expected’ to seal a season long loan for Leicester midfielder Hamza Choudhury, according to the Telegraph.
The 23-year-old has been an unused substitute in all three of the Foxes Premier League outings this term.
And the Telegraph report that the midfielder has been a target for the Magpies for the last twelve months.
A deal is set to go through before tonight’s 11pm deadline.

STERLING MAKES SEASIDERS SWITCH
Defender Dujon Sterling has signed a new deal with Chelsea and joined Championship side Blackpool on loan.
The 22-year-old has penned a contract that will see him stay with the Blues until June 2023 but will spend the remainder of the season with the Seasiders.
Right-back Sterling said: “I knew there was interest a couple of weeks ago and I’m happy to be here now.
“I feel in the best shape of my life, and this is the test that I need. The gaffer has put his trust in me and hopefully I can repay that trust.”

HARRY GOING NOWHERE
SunSport’s Duncan Wright reports Harry Winks is almost certain to be staying at Tottenham after the arrival of Nuno Espirito Santo breathed new life into his career at his boyhood club.
England midfielder Winks had been left out in the wilderness under former boss Jose Mourinho and feared having to move on to get first team football.
But Winks has impressed Santo since the former Wolves manager arrived in North London and is now a fixture in his matchday squads.
The 25-year-old has always wanted to stay at Spurs as long as he was in contention and unless there is any dramatic late change of heart from the club he will remain.

'STILL HOPEFUL'
Borussia Dortmund are 'still hopeful' of a loan move for Callum Hudson-Odoi.
According to Sky Sports reporter Max Bielefeld the 20-year-old is keen to seal a move to Germany in order to get more first team action.
But the Blues are reportedly reluctant to let the academy graduate leave.
And with the German transfer window set to close at 5pm (UK time), progress on that deal will have to be made quickly.

FIVE YEAR PLAN
Juventus have revealed the breakdown of Cristiano Ronaldo's £12.8million move to Manchester United.
Ronaldo, 36, could cost United a further £6.8m if he meets certain performance objectives.
And the Red Devils will still be paying Juventus for the superstar by the time he reaches 41, according to BBC Sport's Simon Stone.
That is because United have split the payment to Juventus over five years.

MOYES DELIGHTED
David Moyes has been speaking about West Ham’s capture of Croatia international Nikola Vlasic.
The attacking midfielder has joined the Hammers in a £25m move from CSKA Moscow.
Moyes told the club’s official website: “I’m delighted to welcome Nikola to West Ham.
"I’ve been watching Nikola improve over recent seasons. He’s got a good goals and assists record during that time.
“He’s also a Croatia international with experience and still being only 23, I feel there’s more to come from him.
“I was really impressed with how determined Nikola was to become a West Ham player. It’s that hunger and ambition that fits with what we’re trying to build here at the club.”

CHRISTIE CHASE
Championship side Bournemouth are the favourites to sign Celtic midfielder Ryan Christie.
According to Sky Sports the 26-year-old – who is a free agent on January 1 – has rejected a new contract offer from the Glasgow giants.
And Burnley and Bournemouth have both been credited with having an interest in the Scotland international.
But it's Scott Parker's Cherries who appear to be closing in on a deal.

GUNNERS TURN TO JAPANESE
Arsenal are working on a deal to sign Takehiro Tomiyasu from Bologna, according to The Athletic.
The Japan international can play both centre-half and right-back, with the latter a position Arsenal are keen to strengthen.
Arsenal are not the only Premier League club to show interest in Tomiyasu.
Tottenham also enquired about the 22-year-old earlier in the window, but their pursuit of Emerson Royal looks to have opened the door for Arsenal.
Tomiyasu made 31 Serie A appearances for Bologna last season but has featured just once this term.
Hector Bellerin’s potential exit from Arsenal to Real Betis would help free up space for the arrival of Tomiyasu.

NO GO
SunSport's Duncan Wright reports Jesse Lingard is almost certain to remain at Manchester United until at least January after West Ham secured the £25.7million capture of Nikola Vlasic.
The Hammers pushed through the five-year deal for the 23-year-old Croatian as the player David Moyes wanted to strengthen his attacking options at the London Stadium.
It is understood there had been a late conversation with Moyes and Lingard over the England star returning to East London following the success of his loan spell with the club last season.
But Linagrd, 28, is still wanted at United by boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer now that Daniel James is on his way to Leeds in a deadline day deal.
And West Ham decided not to wait around for a late change of mind in case they got caught out, so completed the deal for Vlasic which could rise to £33m if add-ons are met.
Having already splashed out £29.8m on Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma, there is no money left for Moyes to make another permanent signing during the current window.
But there may be some finances available for a loan move, and Moyes is considering options for a left-sided player to provide much-needed strength in depth.

CAV A DAY OFF
Edinson Cavani has reportedly been offered to Barcelona in a shock transfer twist.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Cristiano Ronaldo's arrival in Manchester means Cavani's future at the club is in doubt.
But the Spanish outlet claim any potential deal for the 34-year-old is a difficult one.
Cash-strapped Barcelona are desperately short of funds and have already signed Sergio Aguero, Eric Garcia and Memphis Depay this summer.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has spoken after Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Manchester United has been officially confirmed.
He said: “You run out of words to describe Cristiano. He is not only a marvellous player, but also a great human being
“To have the desire and the ability to play at the top level for such a long period requires a very special person.
“I have no doubt that he will continue to impress us all and his experience will be so vital for the younger players in the squad.

According to ESPN the Red Devils pitched a deal Cristiano Ronaldo that included 'completing unfinished business at Old Trafford and writing a new chapter rather than trying to relive the past.'
Technical Director Darren Fletcher is said to be behind the pitch, while Sir Alex Ferguson, Bruno Fernandes, Patrice Evra and Rio Ferdinand were all driving forces in making the deal possible.
CR7 has been officially announced as a United player this morning, putting pen to paper on a two-year deal with the option for a further 12 months.
The 36-year-old is set to make his second United debut on September 11 as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side take on Newcastle.

MAITLAND-NILES STAYING PUT
It’s not been a great few days for Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
After seeing his move to Everton blocked, the Mirror reports that the star has been told he won’t be allowed to train with Arsenal’s first team.
The England international is desperate to join the Toffees and took to Instagram to make his feelings known.
“All I want to do is go where I’m wanted & where I’m going to play @Arsenal,” the 24-year-old wrote.
However, it appears Maitland‑Niles will now be staying put and has also been banished to train with the Under-23s.

Emerson Royal has successfully completed a medical with Tottenham according to Fabrizio Romano.
The 22-year-old full back will join in a deal from Barcelona worth £26million (including add-ons) and will be officially announced shortly.

Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson has spoken to liverpoolfc.com after extending his stay with the Anfield giants.
The 31-year-old has been at the club for ten years, but has agreed a new four-year contract this morning.

BEES LOOK TO BELGIUM
Premier League new boys Brentford are eyeing a deadline day move for Standard Liege man Hugo Siquet.
According to Belgian outlet Het Belang van Limburg, the Bees are looking at a possible deal for the 19-year-old right-back before the 11pm deadline.
Thomas Frank is eager to bring in a new face to play on the right side of defence, with makeshift wing-back Sergi Canos and youngster Mads Roerslev his only current options.

HENDO SIGNS
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has put pen to paper on a new four-year contract with the club.
He joins Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Alisson, Fabinho and Andy Robertson as the SIXTH Liverpool first team member to sign a new deal this summer.
Negotiations are also ongoing with star man Mohammed Salah regarding a new contract.
